in six categories for the annual Bodil awards, which will be announced at the ceremony in Copenhagen’s Bremen Theatre on February 1.

Besides being considered for Best Feature, Nymphomaniac, which was domestically released on December 25 last year, is a contender for Best Actress (Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stacy Martin), Best Actor (Stellan Skarsgård) and Best Supporting Actress, Actor (Uma Thurman, Jamie Bell). Von Trier’s own cut of Nymphomaniac Part 1 will be world-premiered at the upcoming Berlin International Film Festival.

The Hunt, which has since January 10, 2013, registered 672,512 admissions in Denmark to become No 2 on the list of local bestsellers, is running for Best Actor (Mads Mikkelsen) and Best Supporting Actress, Actor (Susse Wold, Anne-Louise Hassing; Thomas Bo Larsen, Lars Ranthe). Already nominated for a Golden Globe, it has been shortlisted for the Oscar as Best Foreign-Language Feature.

each received three nominations for the Bodil statuettes, which are given for the 67th time at the ceremony hosted by Danish actor Troels Lyby.

“It has been a dynamite year for Danish cinema, with several outstanding films and performances, which is also reflected by the nomination of some of our greatest directors from very different generations,” said chairman of the Danish Film Critics Association, Jakob Wendt Jensen.
