Berlin's Startup Weekend Film Industry gets ready to launch creativity

During the upcoming 64th Berlin International Film Festival, Berlin will hold the world's first ever Startup Weekend for the film industry. From February 14 to 16, at the hub:raum Campus, the event will invite new film entrepreneurs and creative minds from all backgrounds to come together and work on new ideas and how to launch them into the market.

The Startup Weekend’s goals are to find companies and cofounders, meet new team members and learn new skills, as well as the discussion of many other issues regarding business (model creation, coding, designing, market validation...). From Friday to Sunday, it will include project pitches which will be evaluated by a jury formed by former CEO of MFG Baden-Württemberg mbH Gabriele Röthemeyer and Startup Advisor Paula Martilla.

"No matter if people want to change the world or just their close environment - everything starts with an idea. But real change only happens through actions - and this is the concept behind every Startup Weekend,” goes Lead-Organizer of Startup Weekend & CEO of Startup Germany Markus Schranner.

The event comes to life following the success of Startup Weekend, a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding companies and launching successful ventures – the largest community of passionate business leaders, with over 1200 past events in more than 100 countries around the world.

Any entrepreneur interested in joining this priceless opportunity may register here.
