was met by a resounding and surprising success, welcoming on both territories over 850,000 spectators. Adapted for the big screen from the universe and characters created by Belgian illustrator Gabrielle Vincent, Ernest & Célestine stands out from contemporary animation productions because of its intentional “old” style. ). It will be released at the end of March, after the Oscars. Ernest & Célestine is a co-production between Belgium (La Parti Production), France (Les Armateurs) and Luxembourg (Mélusine) funded by the CCA, Wallimage, the CNC and the Film Fund Luxembourg. It is worth noting that the film, which received the César for Best Animated Film last February, will compete on February 1 for the Magritte awards in the categories for Best Film, Best Director and Best Sound.
