Revamped Icon announces seven new titles for distribution

Icon Film Distribution, which re-launched last autumn with the backing of New Sparta, has announced seven new titles for UK and Ireland distribution. The first films acquired for the new Icon slate are: Kill The Trumpet Player, a film about Jazz legend Miles Davis by actor turned director Don Cheadle who’ll also play Davis, and starring Ewan McGregor and Zoe Saldana; Adam Wingard’s thriller The Guest, starring Dan Stevens; Lynn Shelton’s coming of age comedy Laggies, starring Keira Knightley, Chloë Grace Moretz and Sam Rockwell; Jim Mickle’s Texas pulp fiction Cold In July, starring Michael C Hall and Sam Shepard; Richard LaGravenese’s musical The Last Five Years, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan; Mike Brett and Steve Jamison’s football film Next Goal Wins; and Jennifer Kent’s Australian horror The Babadook.
