For the first time, the event will this year include the short-film selection Next Generation Short Tiger. Amongst other subjects, the parallel programme will deal with the fall of the Berlin Wall 25 years ago and the outbreak of the First World War 100 years ago. Some prestigious European guests will come to present lectures, Q&As and performances. German Films will also be organising industry dinners in Sydney and Melbourne to inform Australian distributors and festival programmers about the latest German films.
