The Italian market leader (controlled at 51% by 21 investments by Alessandro Benetton 49% by Mediaset) and the most active global company within the sector of entertainment, will be able to build a collaboration for buying international products and national co-productions.

This new partnership will extend to communications and co-marketing endeavours too, including the Home Video platform, which will have access to the American company’s vast library.

With 18.8 million spectators in 2013 (+12.1 compared to 2012) and a revenue of €170 million, The Space takes up 20% of the box office market share. Revenue from 2013 for alternative content in 362 theatres by The Space represented €1.5 million.

Universal Pictures’ 2013 market share was 15%, taking second place for distributors working in Italy.
