EFP announces 2014 Producers on the Move

A total of 24 producers from 24 European countries have been selected by members of European Film Promotion (EFP) to take part in the Producers on the Move networking platform, which will be taking place for the 15th year in the framework of the Cannes Film Festival. The festival will host Producers on the Move's programme from 17-19 May, featuring pitching sessions, one-on-one speed-dating meetings, and various opportunities to build up business relationships and to follow up discussions on future projects.

This year’s edition seeks to repeat last year’s success: as many as 17 co-productions are currently in development. One recent success story is Anna Kazejak’s The Word [+see also:

, co-produced by two Producers on the Move from 2011, Lukasz Dzieciol and Jesper Morthorst, and released in Poland in March after its Berlinale premiere. Another title, Bobbie PeersDirk Ohm – The Illusionist that Disappeared [+see also:

, has entered the post-production phase following the joint efforts of 2011 Producers on the Move’s Maria Ekerhovd and Gian-Piero Ringel,and 2010’s Lizette Jonjic.

The initiative is supported by ARTE and Eurimages, and Cineuropa will once again be interviewing the 24 participants.
