Written by the actor-director, the plot of this romantic comedy revolves around Clément, a schoolteacher whose every dream is more than fulfilled: Alicia, a famous actress whom he admires enormously, becomes his partner. But everything looks set to fall apart when Clément meets Caprice, an over-the-top young woman who falls head over heels for him...

Produced by Frédéric Niedermayer (who has produced all of Mouret’s features) for Moby Dick Films, Caprice is co-produced by Arte France Cinéma. Having been pre-purchased by Orange Cinéma Séries, the film is also backed by the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, and by Sofica Indéfilms, Cinémage and Soficinéma. Distribution in France will be handled by Pyramide, and international sales will kick off at the Cannes Festival’s Marché du Film under the guidance of Kinology.
