(2012), has adapted Danish writers Lars Mering and Claudia Boderke’s script for Finnish audiences, and so Anders, Troels and Nicolaj have become Antti, Tuomas and Niklas.

Having been friends since high school, their lives have branched off in different directions, but now they meet up for the 25th reunion of their class, where things get out of hand, and unfinished business and unfulfilled dreams mingle with a rip-roaring celebration. Jesse Fryckman and Oskari Huttu will produce for Solar, with Selin and Jukka Helle executive-producing. Nordisk Film Finland will release the film in Finland next January.

Now co-owned by Danish major Nordisk Film/the Egmont Media Group, Solar was instigated by Selin, who had produced Born American ten years earlier, the first film by Finland’s most successful Hollywood director, Renny Harlin. He introduced Jussi Vares – Finnish writer Reijo Mäki’s private eye – to the screen (in seven films), as well as being involved with such directors as Aleksi Mäkelä, Aku Louhimies, Anders Engström, Dome Karukoski and Lenka Hellstedt.

In total, his films have been Finland’s official submissions to the Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Feature three times, in the shape of Finnish directors Antti Jokinen’s Purge [+see also:
