- CANNES 2014: The Cannes Marché du Film to open presales for upcoming films by Bertrand Bonello and Luca Guadagnino
Wild Bunch was the first, with its copious line-up (read the article) including Paris Is Happening, which Bertrand Bonello will be filming at the beginning of 2015, telling the story of a flash-mob, which degenerates between young people and the police in Paris. The Assassin by Hou Hsiao-Hsien is also in the line-up as are animation films Le prophète (based on the work by the same name by Khalil Gibran) and Voyage Of Time by Terrence Malick (of which five minutes will be screened at the market).
Bertrand Bonello will be under the spotlight with Saint-Laurent [+see also:

film profile], which will be screened in its international premiere on Saturday in competition on the Croisette. It was sold by EuropaCorp to Sony Pictures Classics for Northern America.
Two thrillers in the works next summer are in StudioCanal's line-up: the next feature film (as yet untitled) by Luca Guadagnino with Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Margot Robbie and Matthias Schoenaerts, and Bastille Day [+see also:
film profile] by James Watkins, a Vendome Pictures production, which will star Adèle Exarchopoulos.
MK2 International (news) will be adding to its line-up Métamorphoses by Christophe Honoré (article), Journey To The Shore by Kiyoshi Kurosawa and An by Naomi Kawase (in competition in Cannes this year with Still The Water [+see also:
film profile], also sold by MK2).
