, from a script that was in the 2012 Hollywood Black List, topped the 2013 Brit List and was developed through Northern Ireland Screen’s New Talent Focus scheme. In February, The Fyzz Facility produced the short film Magpie, directed by Fingleton, starring Martin McCann (71 [+see also:

The Survivalist is the story of a man living in isolation in a time of starvation, whose solitary existence takes a dramatic turn when a woman and her teenage daughter arrive at his secluded farm. McCann and Goth will also star in the feature and are joined by Olwen Fouere (This Must be the Place [+see also:

The Fyzz Facility, Northern Ireland Screen and the British Film Institute are producing, in association with Goldcrest Post Production, with Wayne Marc Godfrey (London Fields), Robert Jones (The Hooligan Factory) and David Gilbery (X Moor) serving as producers.

Fingleton said, “The Survivalist is a very special project to me and my producers Wayne and Robert have given me the opportunity to make it with the right team, right cast in particular. I am thrilled to introduce a wider audience to the work of Martin McCann in a role worthy of his extraordinary talent.”
