film profile], will preside over the international jury for the “Luigi De Laurentiis” award for debut films at the 71^st edition of the Venice Film Festival, which will take place from August 27 to September 6, 2014.

Made up of seven film and culture names from various countries – including one producer – the jury will name one winner among all the feature films in all competitive sections of the festival. The Leone del Futuro (Lion of the Future) will be given out, together with $100,000, given by the Filmauro from Aurelio and Luigi De Laurentiis, to be divided up equally between the producer and the director.

Alice Rohrwacher had her debut in 2011 during Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes, with Heavenly Body [+see also:
