Frontières @ Fantasia announces its Off-Frontières Projects selection

Some months after its first European edition in Brussels (read our report on the pitching sessions) and the unveiling of the official line-up of Frontières projects for its fourth edition (news), the Frontières International Co-Production Market has selected another 12 projects for the return of the Off-Frontières selection.

(The article continues below - Commercial information)

The Off-Frontières projects line-up features projects from Irish, British, French and German directors and producers, complementing the Canadian, American, Mexican and Australian projects.

The Off-Frontières @ Fantasia 2014 selection consists of the following 12 projects: George Kane's Black Horizon (Ireland), Stewart Buck's A World war II fairytale: The Making of Michael mann's the keep (UK/France/USA), Simon Hunter's Last Blood (Germany/UK/USA), Dario Argento's The Sandman (Germany/Canada), Martin Thibodeau's Ce qu'elle a dans le ventre (Quebec), Pat Kiely's Heartbreakers (Quebec), Jacob Tieney's House of stairs (Quebec), Justin McConnell & Serena Whitney's Mark of kane (Canada), Rodrigo Hernández's Multiplier (Mexico/Quebec), Olivier Sabino's The Passenger (Quebec), Kerry Prior's The Saturn particle rampage (USA/Canada/Australia) and Rob Grant's To be continued… (Canada).

The previously announced Frontières selection also features 12 films projects, such as Fantasia alumni Kristina Buozyte's Emergence, Simon Rumley's The Godless and Andreas Schaap's Print the Legend, among others.

Frontières is the first and only co-production market to connect North America with Europe in an environment focused specifically on genre film production. After two editions in Montreal in 2012 and 2013, it expanded as a trans-Atlantic circuit with an additional edition in Brussels in April 2014. It is now preparing for its 4th edition, within the Fantasia International Film Festival's Industry Rendez-Vous, from July 24 to 27 2014.
