New co-production support fund launches call for projects

Founded on 20 May at Cannes, through an agreement signed by the CNC and the ICA, the support fund for the co-production of Franco-Portuguese cinematic works has launched its first call for projects. Endowed with a budget of €1 million for 2014, the fund, designed to support artistic co-productions, is open to feature-film projects (fiction, animation and documentaries) that have producers in each of the two countries and that are covered within the framework of the Franco-Portuguese co-production agreement of 1980.

Projects wishing to apply for a (non-refundable) grant will be able to submit their files from 15 July until 30 September. A joint committee of six experts will then move on to the selection process, and the CNC and ICA will work together to decide on the size of the grant awarded to each project.

The call for projects and the fund’s operating procedures will be available for consultation from 15 July by following this link
