film profile] has been chosen by the Portuguese Film Academy as Portugal’s entry for the 87th Academy Awards.
The film, a Locarno 2013-winning autobiographical documentary, opened locally just two weeks ago (see the news), in parallel with a retrospective on Pinto’s work held at the Portuguese Film Museum. Midas Filmes handled its theatrical distribution.
A Portuguese title has never made it to the final shortlist for the Academy Awards, whose upcoming edition will take place on 28 February 2015 in Los Angeles.
