The film follows two lifelong best friends who experience problems when one of them struggles to have a baby and the other is diagnosed with breast cancer. Hardwicke said, “Miss You Already explores the ups and down of an intense friendship. With our fearless actors, we’re taking this very personal story on a wild ride.”

The film is produced by Christopher Simon and Felix Vossen of the UK’s Embargo Films, with finance provided by London based New Sparta Films and Exponential Media. The Salt Company is handling international sales. Entertainment One will distribute in the UK.

Nicki Hattingh, Managing Director of New Sparta Films, said, “The director, cast and production team are first class and we are confident they will deliver an amazing film from such a beautiful script – it’s a story that every teenage girl and woman will recognise and respond to.”

New Sparta is also one of the backers of Matteo Garrone’s English-language film Tale of Tales.
