Sir Ben Kingsley (Learning to Drive), Daniel Radcliffe (What If [+see also:

) and Brie Larson (Short Term 12) are part of the cast of Brooklyn Bridge, for which writer/director Douglas McGrath (Infamous) will commence principal photography in Spring 2015. The film will follow Washington Roebling (Radcliffe), a civil engineer and son of architect, John A. Roebling (Kingsley), who is entrusted with completing his father’s famous Brooklyn Bridge. Larson is set to play Emily Roebling, John Roebling’s wife.

Christine Vachon for Killer Films (US), alongside Rose Ganguzza, will produce the film. The UK’s Goldcrest Films will finance and also handle international sales.

Goldcrest Films Managing Director Pascal Degove said, “This is a film that distributors are really excited about. That this enthusiasm is shared by a highly commercial blend of acclaimed contemporary talent and acting royalty is really a testament to Doug’s script and his extraordinary strength as a filmmaker.”

Radcliffe’s upcoming releases include Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck and Paul McGuigan’s Frankenstein, while Kingsley has a raft of upcoming releases including Jon Wright’s Robot Overlords, Eran Creevy’s Autobahn, Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings, Shawn Levy’s Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Anton Corbijn’s Life, Tarsem Singh’s Selfless, Robert ZemeckisThe Walk, Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book, Charles Huddleston’s A Doll’s House and Alister Grierson’s Mary. Larson will be seen in Rupert Wyatt’s The Gambler, Dan Baron’s Basmati Blues, Trainwreck, Joe Swanberg’s Digging for Fire and Lenny Abrahamson’s Room.
