32 new projects selected for The Pixel Market

Power to the Pixel (PttP) has revealed the 32 cross-media projects from across Europe, the US, Canada, the Middle East, Australia and South America chosen to participate in The Pixel Market (October 8-9), the finance and co-production market that is part of Power to the Pixel: The Cross-Media Forum held in association with the 58th BFI London Film Festival (October 8-19).

Of these, eight projects will compete for the ARTE International Prize for The Pixel Market, a €6,000 award sponsored by the French/German broadcaster. These include The Infinity Engine, an online interactive website, feature-length film and installation by multi-awarding winning artist and filmmaker Lynn Hershman and Lisa Cortés, executive producer behind Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA winning film Precious; producer of Oscar nominated and BAFTA winning The Act of Killing [+see also:

, Signe Byrge Sørensen’s interactive web-documentary On Screen Off Record; and Palme d’Or winning producer of The Wind that Shakes the Barley [+see also:

This year, the Forum will also host a Nordic delegation comprising some 40 Nordic funds, businesses and production companies including Nordisk Film & TV Fond, SWIM, Danish Film Institute, Swedish Film Institute, Norwegian Film Institute, Finnish Film Foundation and the Icelandic Film Centre.
