), the story begins one day in July 1982, when André Bamberski finds out about the death of his 14-year-old daughter, Kalinka, while she had been spending her holidays in Germany at the house owned by her mother and her stepfather, Doctor Krombach. Quickly, the circumstances surrounding her death start to seem suspicious to André. Dieter Krombach’s attitude, as well as a botched post-mortem, leaves a whole raft of questions unanswered. Convinced that Krombach is guilty, André embarks upon a 27-year battle for justice in order to bring Krombach down. Getting to the bottom of this tragedy becomes his sole obsession in life.

Produced by Cyril Colbeau-Justin and Jean-Baptiste Dupont for LGM Cinéma,Kalinka is executive co-produced by Hugo Bergson for Black Mask Productions. Co-produced by StudioCanal (which will handle distribution in French cinemas and international sales), Belgian outfit Nexus Factory and TF1 Films Production, the feature has also been pre-purchased by Canal+, Ciné+ and D8, and is benefitting from support by BackUp Media. The shoot will take place from 20 October to 23 December in Ile-de-France, Germany and Morocco.
