Submissions for Queens World Film Festival now open

Taking place from 17-22 March, 2015, Queens World Film Festival celebrates its fifth year of existence, inviting filmmakers of any sex, orientation, ethincity, country or region. The festival will open on 17 March at the Museum of the Moving Image and will roll out to a variety of venues in Western Queens, New York, with a total of three screens running for several days.

The festival welcomes films in four categories: animation, documentary, narrative and LGBT films. Films can be submitted here. The final deadline for submission is 30 November 2014. With strong political and community support, QWFF will build up a community around all participating filmmakers and their work with pre-festival events, press coverage and outreach. There is a Q&A at every screening, well-attended networking and industry events, and QWFF will re-screen films all year long in its very popular free Encore Screening series.
