Euros7.8m from Bavaria

At its 30 April meeting the Bavaria Film & TV Fund agreed to distribute a total of Euro7.88m amongst 20 film projects this year. The titles include the latest by Oliver Hirschbiegel ( The Experiment) and Bernd Eichinger, Der Untergang (The Fall), about the last days of Adolf Hitler. Produced by Constantin Film Produktion and starring Bruno Ganz as the German dictator.
Other titles that will benefit from Bavaria support include Bibi Blocksberg II, the sequel to Germany’s most successful film of 2002; the latest film by Oskar Roehler entitled Agnes und seine Brüder (Agnes and her Brother, produced by X-Filme, and the sequel to Mädchen, Mädchen, directed by Peter Gersina and starring Diana Amft and Karoline Herfurth.
Six titles were given distribution support: Luther, Lichter by Hans Christian Schmids, Verschwende deine Jugend by Benjamin Quabeck, Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland by Oscar-winning Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, Pumuckl und sein Zirkusabenteuer by Peter Weissflog Darsteller and Großglocknerliebe by Joe Duebell.
