Tribeca Film announced yesterday that it has acquired North American rights for Uberto Pasolini’s award-winning film Still Life [+see also:

film profile] from Beta Cinema and will release the film in theaters January 16, 2015 with cable/telco and satellite video-on-demand and digital platforms starting January 13, 2015.
Written and directed by Pasolini, the film stars Eddie Marsan (Happy-Go-Lucky [+see also:
film profile]) and Joanne Froggatt (Emmy Award nominee, Downton Abbey). The film had its world premiere at the 2013 Venice Film Festival where it won four awards: the Orizzonti Award for Best Director, the Pasinetti Award for Best Film, Cinema D’Arte e d’Essai award, and the Civitas Vitae prossima for Best Film.
Tribeca Film is a comprehensive distribution label dedicated to acquiring and releasing independent films across multiple platforms, including theatrical, video-on-demand, digital, home video and television. It is an initiative from Tribeca Enterprises designed to provide new platforms for how film can be experienced, while supporting filmmakers and introducing audiences to films they might not otherwise see.
