, which was popular at Venice last year and will be distributed in France on 19 November by Version Originale/Condor, will have the honour of opening the seventh Kinopolska Polish Film Festival in Paris tomorrow evening.

Organised from 11-16 November at the Cinéma Le Balzac, a stone’s throw from the Champs-Elysées, the gathering will offer a competition that features six films, including four feature debuts: the black comedy Kebab & Horoscope [+see also:

by seasoned director Krzysztof Zanussi (which was recently screened in the Masters section of the Toronto Film Festival – sold internationally by Wide Management), as well as a number of documentaries such as Minkowski | Saga by Rafael Lewandowski, Mundial: The Highest Stakes by Michal Bielawski and Papa, le rideau de fer et moi by Krzysztof Rzączynski.

Interestingly, there will also be a tribute to screenwriter Krzysztof Piesiewicz, who will be in Paris to present several films that he has worked on (No End and The Double Life of Veronique by Krzysztof Kieslowski, Hell [+see also:
