The 4th East Doc Platform, open for submissions
- The deadline for the submissions for the biggest documentary event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe is on 1 December
The fourth edition of the biggest documentary event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, East Doc Platform, organized by the Institute of Documentary Film in association with One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival will be held in 2-8 March 2015 in Prague. The event will feature, apart from the traditional meetings of documentary professionals, workshops, lectures, pitchings, networking events and other activities, and offer €7,500 prize for the best participating project in development.
The Institute of Documentary Film calls for documentary projects in development, production and post-production for the EDP (which comprises the East European Forum, Project Market, Doc Tank and the East Silver Videolibrary). The event is particularly looking for creative feature length (more than 52 minutes) documentary projects from Central and Eastern Europe for East European Forum and Project Market and socially and politically engaged documentary projects with cross-media and campaign potential for Doc Tank. The selection is also open to productions from other parts of Europe with projects thematically bound to our region. The deadline is 1 December, 2014.
East Doc Platform 2015 will welcome more than 400 guests, including 70 key international festival programmers, commissioning editors, buyers, distributors, sales agents, film fund and organization representatives who will be able to choose from some of the most promising films and projects in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as 120 East European filmmakers and producers who seek creative, financial and distribution support. This event will traditionally feature staple activities, including the 15th East European Forum; the 2nd edition of Doc Tank and the 6th Project Market.
