, the third feature by Franco-Israeli director, actress and screenwriter Ronit Elkabetz, which she made together with her brother, Shlomi Elkabetz, has been nominated for the 72nd Golden Globes, in the Best Foreign-language Film category.

The movie, produced by Elzevir Films (France), and co-produced by Arte France Cinéma, Deux Beaux Garçons Films (France) and Riva Filmproduktion (Germany), tells the story of the long struggle undertaken by Viviane (played by Ronit Elkabetz herself) in order to get a divorce from her husband, Elisha (Simon Abkarian), before a rabbinical court, as there are still very strong traditions surrounding the institution of marriage in Israel.

The film was presented at the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight (read the review) in May, followed by Toronto and San Sebastian. It also took home the Best Film Award from the Hamptons International Film Festival.
