Marco Bellocchio, Stefano Sollima, Maria Sole Tognazzi and Gianfranco Rosi feature, with their new projects, among the beneficiaries of Mibact financing, according to the Film Commission that met on 19 December last. Ten feature films were recognised as having cultural interest as part of the third 2014 session and have qualified for financial contribution from the ministry, for a total of 4,500,000 euro.

The biggest contributions went to Fai bei sogni (“Sweet Dreams”) by Marco Bellocchio, based on the eponymous book by Massimo Gramellini (IBC Movie - Kavac Film; 800,000 euro), Suburra [+see also:

 by Stefano Sollima (read the news - Cattleya, 600,000 euro), Le confessioni (“Confessions”) by Roberto Andò and Io e mia madre (“My mother and I”) by Ivano De Matteo (the first produced by Bibi Film, the second by Rodeo Drive; 550,000 euro each). 500,000 euro has been allotted to Io e lei (“She and I”) by Maria Sole Tognazzi, starring Margherita Buy and Sabrina Ferilli, while 300,000 thousand euro goes respectively to Oltre Lampedusa [+see also:

Ciro De Caro (Alba Film 3000; 150,000 euro), La bambina (“the girl”), il pugile (“the boxer”), il canguro (“the babysitter”) by comedian and TV anchorman Enzo Iacchetti, based on the eponymous book by Gian Antonio Stella (Nito Produzioni; 200,000 euro). The Whale by Andrea Pallaoro (Partner Media Investment) and L’amore non si sa by Marcello Di Noto (Ideacinema - Scirocco Cinematografica) will receive a contribution of 250,000 each; 200,000 thousand euro will go, among others, to Luca Scivoletto for Il pallone di Achille (Cinemaundici) and to Marco Zarrelli for Amor Sacro (Mescalito Film).
