Tamar Alkan in The Man in the Wall

The third feature by Israeli director Evgeny Ruman, The Man in the Wall, has been selected in the Bright Future section of the 44th Rotterdam International Film Festival, which will take place from 21 January to 1 February 2015.

It will be the world premiere of the psychological drama, written and produced by Ruman himself. The film recounts the story of Shir (Tamar Alkan) and Rami (Gilad Kahana), an Israeli couple from Tel Aviv. One night, after walking their dog, Rami disappeared without his telephone or wallet. Behind closed doors we will witness the sequence of events in the apartment, where a number of visitors join Shir: friends, family, the police and some unexpected guests. Throughout the scenes, we discover the complex nature of Shir and Rami, as well as of their relationship, which is not as perfect as one might think.
