Turkey becomes a partial member of Creative Europe
- The country joins Iceland, Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Serbia on the list of non-EU member countries benefiting from the programme
Turkey has become a partial member of Creative Europe, the programme launched by the European Commission in order to provide support to the cultural and audiovisual sectors, and thus joins the list of non-EU member countries able to participate in the programme.
Candidates from this country will henceforth be able to benefit from MEDIA support within the Culture Sub-programme, ie participation in training, festivals, audience-development and market-access activities. Iceland, Norway, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Serbia are already in the same position, with Creative Europe accepting non-EU member countries that meet specific criteria.
Georgia, Moldavia and Ukraine should also be able to benefit from Creative Europe support in the course of 2015.
