The Lithuanian Film Centre has announced its latest funding decisions. Eglė Vertelytė’s feature Miracle (Stebuklas) – the story of a pig farmer who is loyal to the Soviet regime but finds her life changing due to the death of communism and a mysterious stranger who claims that her farm belongs to his parents – will receive €200,000, with a recommendation for an additional €58,337 in 2016. The movie is produced by In Script (Lithuania), Geopoly (Bulgaria) and Revolution Productions (Macedonia).

The feature Breathing Into Marble (Kvėpavimas į marmurą) by Giedrė Beinoriūtė was given €200,000, and €75,000 more may follow in 2016. It is a co-production between Just A Moment (Lithuania), Mistrus Media (Latvia) and Sutor Kolonko Filmproduktion (Germany). A total of €150,000 – with another €100,000 advised for next year – goes to the experimental feature film Stásis (directed by Mantas Kvedaravičius), which is co-produced by Studio Uljana Kim (Lithuania), Pallas Film (Germany) and Rouge International (France). Emilia (Emilija – directed by Donatas Ulvydas), produced by Fralita Films, was granted €250,000, with a recommendation for another €107,000 in 2016.

Funding of €77,000 went to the micro-budget feature Dead-weight (Dedveitas – directed by Ignas Miškinis), produced by Tremora (Lithuania) and Film Angels Studio (Latvia).

(Apie draugystę ir daug arklio pasagų – directed by Igor Cobileanski) was given €60,000 and is produced by Just A Moment (Lithuania) and Alien Film (Romania).
