Rüdiger Suchsland's documentary From Caligari to Hitler, about German cinema in the Weimar Republic, is part of the section "Documentaries: Filmmakers and Filmmaking". Restored versions of Robert Wiene's The Cabinet of Dr Caligari and Wim Wenders' Paris, Texas, winner of the Cannes Palme d’Or in 1984, are also on the programme.

The international film market FILMART (23 to 26 March) is an important hub for European world sales companies to bring movies to Asia. Therefore, seven German world sales companies will be represented at the umbrella stand that the European Film Promotion is organizing with the support of German Films: Beta Cinema, Films Boutique, Global Screen, m-appeal world sales, The Match Factory, media luna new films and Picture Tree International).
