Raphaël Rebibo shooting Amor
by Fabien Lemercier
- Liron Levo toplines the feature produced by Magora and Transfax
On 9 March, the shoot kicked off for the fourth feature by French-Israeli director Raphaël Rebibo, entitled Amor. The cast of this drama revolving around the subject of a love that is stronger than life itself, with a story billed as being moving, universal and tackling a hot topic, set far from the din of the Arab-Israeli conflict, includes Liron Levo (who played the lead in Kippur and has appeared in such titles as This Must Be the Place [+see also:

film profile]), Or Ilan, Dan Turgeman, Tamar Shem Or, Nataly Attiya, Anat Atzmon, Moshe Ivgy, Gil Alon, Shosha Goren, Naama Amit, Gal Friedman and Yaniv Taichman.
Written by the director, the story sees Daniel return home to a small Israeli town in the middle of nowhere, after having been roaming around Europe. There he meets up again with Lila, the love of his life, who has been bed-ridden for more than three years. For her, he will do the unthinkable in the name of love...
Produced by Raphaël Rebibo for Paris-based outfit Magora Productions (with Martine Fitoussi on board as associate producer) and by Israeli company Transfax Films (which is taking care of line production), Amor is being filmed over a total of five weeks in Israel, with Rami Agami serving as DoP. Distribution in France and international sales are under negotiation.
