 took home the European Film Academy’s Young Audience Award 2015 yesterday, 3 May (Young Audience Film Day). Having watched the three nominated films on the same day, a young audience of 12- to 14-year-old cinema-lovers across 25 European cities had the opportunity to discuss the films before electing their favourite. The results were then reported live via video conference to Erfurt (Germany) where German TV host, author and director Thomas Hermanns moderated the awards ceremony transmitted online as a live stream. EFA director Marion Döring presented the award to screenwriter Stefano Sardo.

The fourth edition of the EFA Young Audience Award included the two other nominees Sanna Lenken’s My Skinny Sister [+see also:

(read the news). With a record 25 participating countries this year, from Israel to Sweden, the award is organised and presented by the European Film Academy and EFA Productions, with the support of the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM).
