18/05/2015 - TorinoFilmLab’s development programme includes six debut films and three second features, including the new film by Laszlo Nemes, who is garnering praise at Cannes for Son of Saul

The nine projects that will be taking part in this year’s FrameWork, the TorinoFilmLab’s development programme for first and second works, have been selected. The films will be competing for the Production Awards, the Audience Award and the secondary prizes set to be handed out at the next TFL Meeting Event (25-27 November 2015). Six of them are debut films, while the remaining three are second features, hailing from all around the world:

- AA by Jack Faber (Israel) – debut film

The Critics’ Week selection comprises works by a further three TFL alumni: the directorial duo of Palestinian brothers Arab and Tarzan Abunasser (Interchange 2013) are taking part with their feature debut, Dégradé [+see also:

film profile], as is the Italian participant in Script&Pitch 2015, Jonas Carpignano, with his debut, Mediterranea.

Lastly, within the Cinéfondation Atelier, two projects that have passed through the TorinoFilmLab are being presented: Pari by Siamak Etemadi (Greece/Iran), developed during Script&Pitch 2013, and Popeye by Kirsten Tan (Singapore/Thailand), which took part in FrameWork 2014, winning a TFL Production Award worth €60,000.
