Nastassja Kinski to be the special guest at TIFF 2015

- The festival will honour the famous actress with a Special Award for Contribution to World Cinema
Nastassja Kinski, one of the most famous actresses of the 1980s and 1990s, is to be the special guest at the 14th edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival (29 May – 7 June, in Cluj-Napoca). The festival will bestow a Special Award for Contribution to World Cinema upon Kinski during the closing gala, which will take place on 6 June at the National Theatre in Cluj-Napoca.
In her honour, TIFF will screen Paris, Texas, directed by Wim Wenders and the winner of the Palme d'Or in 1984. The actress will hold a master class as part of the Transilvania Talent Lab, a workshop for young filmmakers.
Also featuring among the festival's guests is Isaach de Bankolé. The actor, who has worked with Lars von Trier, Claire Denis and Jim Jarmusch, is the star of Mirage [+see also:
film profile], a film by Hungarian director Szabolcs Hajdu with a Hungarian and Romanian cast. The movie will be screened at TIFF as part of the Hungarian Day sidebar.
