The Belgian part of the shoot took place at the beginning of May, and it is carrying on in the United States, the heroine’s own country. Another biopic on the horizon is You Really Got Me by Julien Temple, which takes a look back at the English rock group The Kinks and focuses particularly on the tensions and rivalry between the two brothers, Ray and Dave Davies, during the swinging ‘60s. The movie is co-produced in Flanders by Zilvermeer Productions.

, a political thriller that takes place in Flanders and Wallonia, which will be produced by Wrong Men North and Eyeworks; in addition to Safety First – The Movie, an adaptation by Tim Van Aelst of his own TV programme. The shoot for the film, produced by Carambole, will kick off in July and will stop off at such places as Tomorrowland, the gigantic Flemish electronic music festival.

The other projects accepted are the Belgian-Italian-Chinese co-production Coffee by Italian director Cristiano Bortone, and the Belgian-German co-production Robbi, Tobbi und das Fliewatüüt, based on Boy Lornsen’s famous children’s book. Lastly, we have two animated titles: the feature Marnie’s World, a modern-day adaptation of the folktale of the Town Musicians of Bremen, and the stop-motion series George & Paul were both able to persuade the jury.
