23/07/2015 - The executive joins after a long stint at the Irish Film Board

Naoise Barry will join Pinewood Productions Ireland as head of production in mid-August. Barry will arrive from his current position as film commissioner for the Irish Film Board (IFB), where he has worked for 14 years. IFB chief executive James Hickey says, “Naoise has played an enormous role in attracting international production to Ireland. During his tenure at the IFB, he succeeded in establishing two very important and influential networks; the Film Dublin Partnership and the Network of Regional Film Offices. These industry support networks include a wide range of public bodies who provide vital support to filmmakers. He also forged strong links with Tourism Ireland to exploit the synergy between film and tourism. We would like to thank him for his dedicated service, and wish him the very best of luck in the next phase of his career.” 

Executive vice-president of Pinewood International Andy Weltman says, “We are delighted to welcome Naoise Barry to the Pinewood Studios Group. We’ve worked with Naoise in his role at the IFB over the years, and know he has an exceptional record of achievements in his field. Pinewood Productions Ireland focuses on physical production administration, Section 481 application and packaging. The company also serves Pinewood’s international clients shooting on location in Ireland.
