Barry will arrive from his current position as film commissioner for the Irish Film Board (IFB), where he has worked for 14 years. IFB chief executive James Hickey says, “Naoise has played an enormous role in attracting international production to Ireland. During his tenure at the IFB, he succeeded in establishing two very important and influential networks; the Film Dublin Partnership and the Network of Regional Film Offices. These industry support networks include a wide range of public bodies who provide vital support to filmmakers. He also forged strong links with Tourism Ireland to exploit the synergy between film and tourism. We would like to thank him for his dedicated service, and wish him the very best of luck in the next phase of his career.”
