has continued its string of festival wins- which started with Cannes Un Certain Regard Award- with its reception of the Golden Tower for Best Film at the 22 European Film Festival Palić (18-24 July). 

Magnus von Horn picked up the Best Director prize for his feature debut, The Here After [+see also:

, which held its world premier at Cannes Directors' Fortnight.

The jury for Palić’s official selection was composed of directors Mira Fornay, Agnes Kocsis and Dome Karukoski, actors Johannes Kuhnke and Sergej Trifunović, and Christian Jeune, director of the film department at Cannes Film Festival.

Russian director Ella Manzheeva’s first feature, The Gulls -which had its world premiere at the Berlinale Forum and later received the Best Debut Award at Sochi- received the Award for Best Film in the Parallels and Encounters Competition dedicated to Eastern European Film. Film critics Michael Pattinson, György Báron and Vladimir Džudović served as the jury for this section. The programme also included a special mention for recently deceased Serbian actor, Vlastimir Đuza Stoiljković, for his standout final performance in Stairless by Marko Novaković. 

The “Seyfi Teoman” award for the bravest first or second feature film was given to Ivan Ostrochovsky for Koza [+see also:
