It’s a very busy autumn for Cédric Klapisch, who is currently immersed in the long-term shoot (set to last one year) for his 12th feature-length fiction film, Le vin et le vent (lit. “The Wine and the Wind”). He has also been enjoying some impressive success in terms of audience figures on France 2 this week with his first foray into TV series: the 6 x 52-minute Dix pour cent (“Ten Percent”, for which he took care of the production design and directed the episodes together with Lola Doillon and Antoine Garceau) delves into the world of acting agents, based on the professional experience of Dominique Besnehard (who is also a producer of the series, for Mon Voisin Productions).

). Also worth noting is the fact that actor and winegrower Jean-Marc Roulot features among the lead actors.

Written by Cédric Klapisch with his regular collaborator Santiago Amigorena, the screenplay tells the story of Jean, who is back in Bourgogne after ten years away, called back by his winegrower father, who is on his deathbed. After he passes away, Jean, his brother and his sister decide to take over the family business. As the seasons go by, governing the pace of the vineyard and the various stages of the winemaking process, they ask themselves the question of how to protect the estate.

Produced by Bruno Lévy for Ce qui me meut (a company also managed by Cédric Klapisch), Le vin et le vent is being co-produced by France 2 Cinéma. Having been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature will be shot over one year. The filming in Bourgogne (Beaune, Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet) kicked off in September and October, and will continue in December and May, before wrapping during the grape-harvests in autumn 2016. Distribution in France and international sales will be handled by StudioCanal.
