Written by the director, the story centres on Maureen, a young American woman in Paris making her living as a personal shopper for Kyra, a celebrity. Maureen may also have the psychic ability to communicate with spirits, just like her twin brother, Lewis, who passed away recently. She soon starts receiving ambiguous messages coming from an unknown source...

Produced by Charles Gillibert for CG Cinéma, Personal Shopper is being co-produced by Arte France Cinéma, German outfit Detailfilm, Belgian company Scope Invest and Czech firm Sirena Film.
