Element’s Andrew Lowe said, “We are really pleased with the response of audiences in Ireland and the UK to The Lobster, whose positive word of mouth has helped propel it into an independent hit. Element Pictures Distribution have worked closely with our partners in the UK, Picturehouse, to launch the film into a very competitive market on the back of The Lobster’s success in Cannes, and we are delighted to see UK and Irish audiences share the Cannes jury’s enthusiasm for the film.”

The film is funded by Film4, the Irish Film Board, Eurimages, the British Film Institute Film Fund, the Netherlands Film Fund, presented by Greek Film Centre in association with Protagonist Pictures, with the participation of Canal+, Ciné+ and Aide aux Cinémas du Monde, Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée, Ministère des Affaires Étrangères et du Développement International, Institut Français and is an Element Pictures, Scarlet Films, Faliro House, Haut et Court, Lemming Film co-production in association with Limp and with the support of the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.
