The 13th Zagreb Film Festival (14-22 November) will open with the screening of Grímur Hákonarson's Rams [+see also:

. The winner of the Cannes Un Certain Regard Award and a nominee for European Film 2015 at the EFAs is among 12 other movies in the competition for the Golden Pram for Best Feature Film, which comes with €4,000.

won a Special Mention at the 2014 ZFF.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Checkers competition for short films made by young and aspiring Croatian filmmakers, the festival will organise a panel on the placement and distribution of short films, featuring speakers such as Laurence Reymond, programmer of shorts in the Cannes Directors' Fortnight, and Salette Ramalho of Curtas Vila do Conde. In addition, the festival will close with an out-of-competition screening of omnibus film Zagreb Stories Vol 3, consisting of six shorts made by Croatian filmmakers, including Vlatka Vorkapic (Sonja and the Bull [+see also:

).

The PLUS programme, dedicated to young audiences, which was introduced last year, is becoming competitive this year: a jury consisting of five high-school students will award €500 to one of the four films listed here, in addition to The New Kid.

ZFF's traditional My First Film sidebar will this year be dedicated to filmmakers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, while The Great 5 will once again feature box-office hits from Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy and France.
