The company helmed by Stephen Gilula and Nancy Utley, which distributes independent films, acquired the rights to the movie after it screened at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, where the film by Oscar winner Paolo Sorrentino was selected in competition, before going on to be shown in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival. The movie will subsequently come out in the United Kingdom on 29 January 2016, courtesy of StudioCanal.
