The 400 buyers who will be attending the 18th Rendez-Vous with French Cinema in Paris, organised from 14-18 January by UniFrance, will not miss the chance to check out the gems on offer from the MK2 International team headed by Juliette Schrameck, which will be presenting a tantalising slate of forthcoming titles.

Adapted by the director and Santiago Amigorena from the novel Boarding Home by Cuban novelist Guillermo Rosales, the story revolves around Daniel, a Gypsy shunned by his community following the accidental death of his best friend. After finding refuge at the Métropole Hotel, where outcasts and broken souls are drawn together, he plunges headfirst into the world of crime. But an unexpected ray of sunshine suddenly appears in his life when he meets Francine... Produced by Pierre Guyard (a European Film Promotion Producer on the Move 2015 – read the interview) for Nord-Ouest Films, If You Saw His Heart has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, and is benefiting from backing from the CNC’s advance on receipts and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Distribution in French theatres will be handled by Diaphana.
