that won acclaim the world over and scored nominations at the BFI London Film Festival, San Sebastian and the British Independent Film Awards, British master Terence Davies is all set to land at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival (11-21 February 2016) with the World Premiere Special Gala screening of his latest film A Quiet Passion [+see also:

, a portrait of the renowned American poet Emily Dickinson that follows her from her early days as a young schoolgirl to her later years as a reclusive, unrecognized artist (read the news). Cynthia Nixon stars as Dickinson and the cast also includes Jennifer Ehle and Keith Carradine. The film is a co-production between Hurricane Films (UK) and Potemkino (Belgium). Double Dutch International is handling international sales.

, British theatre impresario Michael Grandage’s feature debut, an account of American literary editor Max Perkins’ time at publishing house Scribner that centres on his real-life relationship with literary giant Thomas Wolfe. The powerhouse cast includes Colin Firth, Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Guy Pearce and Dominic West. The film is a co-production between the Michael Grandage Company (UK), Desert Wolf Productions (US) and Riverstone Pictures (UK). Filmnation Entertainment is handling international sales.
