Yesterday filming started in Rome on Ovunque tu sarai, the debut piece by Roberto Capucci, starring Ricky Memphis, Primo Reggiani, Francesco Montanari and Francesco Apolloni (who also wrote the screenplay). Produced by Roberto Cipullo’s Camaleo and Mario Pezzi in co-production with Spanish company Ulula Films, the film tells the story of four football fan friends who head to Spain to see the legendary Champions League match between Real Madrid and Roma of 2008. A journey that, through love, friendship, encounters, generational conflict and self-discovery, becomes much more than a simple trip by a few football fans.
The film, which also features Cuban actress Ariadna Romero in the role of a beguiling Spanish singer who stirs things up between the close-knit group of friends, will be shot over the next six weeks in Italy and Spain. Recognised as being of cultural interest by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Ovunque tu sarai has received funding from the Lazio Region and the Lazio Film Commission, and will be distributed in Italy by M2 Pictures.
