(which had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival and was a winner at the Max Ophüls Preis in Saarbrücken), will have their first screenings (as world premieres) at the 2016 Berlinale, within the famous Panorama section.

Jan Gassmann has already trodden the red carpet at the Berlinale thanks to his debut film, the documentary Chrigu [+see also:

. Meanwhile, this will be the first time that Tobias Nölle has presented one of his features at Berlin; he acted as the director, screenwriter and editor of the film (with Myriam Flury). Aloys is a Swiss production, via Hugofilm, which was developed at the Torino Film Lab and was chosen by the renowned work-in-progress programme at the Les Arcs European Film Festival. Illustrious Austrian actor Georg Friedrich is set to play the lead role. 

In the Berlinale’s Forum section, the duo comprising Maya Kosa and Sergio da Costa will present its first documentary film, Rio Corgo [+see also:

, co-produced by Joëlle Bertossa, of Close Up Films, in conjunction with Portuguese outfit O Som e a Fúria. The movie was presented as a world premiere at the Doclisboa International Documentary Film Festival, where it snagged the Best Portuguese Feature Award.
