Written by Gilles Bourdos and his faithful partner Michel Spinosa, and based on the collection of short stories Rare and Endangered Species by US author Richard Bausch, the movie follows the fates of three families – fates that are as tragic as they are comical, revolving around the following anthropological question: should we intervene in the love lives of our children and our parents?

Produced by Kristina Larsen for Les Films du Lendemain, Endangered Species is benefiting from  a co-production from Belgian outfit Les Films du Fleuve, pre-purchases by OCS and Ciné+, an advance on receipts from the CNC, and support from Sofica Cofinova. The shoot will continue until 11 March in Nice and Paris. The French theatrical release will be handled by Mars Distribution, while international sales are managed by Wild Bunch.
