And L’Isola del Cinema, the Rome-based festival being held on Tiber Island between 9 June and 4 September, is no exception, having crowned the rousing debut piece by Gabriele Mainetti, which has already won seven David di Donatello Awards, two Nastro d’Argento Awards, and the Italian Golden Globe from the foreign press. The Groupama Assicurazioni Award for Best First or Second Film was awarded by a jury made up of journalists Gloria Satta, Stefano Amadio, Arianna Finos, film critic Gabriele Niola, and director general of the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo, Antonio Urrata.
