Written by Teddy Lussi-Modeste and Rebecca Zlotowski (who also co-wrote Jimmy Rivière), the story revolves around Brahim, an increasingly popular comedian. People start to recognise him in the street, he is in demand, and people occasionally even pester him. Between his big brother-cum-manager, who protects him while also dragging him down, and his partner, a director who knows how much is riding on her second show, Brahim is torn between having to choose either his family or his career. Failure may be costly, but Brahim must pay an even heavier price for success.

Produced by Jean-Christophe Reymond (read the interview) and Amaury Ovise for Kazak Productions, The Price of Success is benefiting from a co-production by Rhône-Alpes Cinéma, pre-purchases by Canal+ and OCS, and support from the CNC’s advance on receipts and the Cinémage, Cofinova and Soficinéma Soficas. The seven-week shoot kicked off in Lyon from 26 July-12 August and has been continuing in Paris since 16 August, with Julien Poupard (Party Girl [+see also:
