Christina Weiss, the federal minister for culture of Germany announced she was earmarking Euros68,000 for six film projects.

film profile] by Istvàn Szabò, Bernardo Bertolucci, Mike Figgis, Jìrì Menzel, Volker Schlöndorff, Michael Radford and Jean Luc Godard, and produced by Berlin-based Ottfilm; Euros15,000 euro for Der alte Affe Angst by Oskar Roheler (screened in Competition at the 2003 Berlinale) and produced by Berlin-based X Verleih AG; Euros6,000 for Die Ritterinnen by Barbara Teufel and Euros16,450 for Christian Petzold’s Wolfsburg - both titles are Neue Visionen Filmberleih productions. Heirate mich by Ulli Gaulke and Jeannette Eggert and produced by Berlin’s Flying Moon Films was assigned Euros9,900 while Westend by Markus Mischkowski and Kai Maria Steinkühler, produced by Cologne’s Kai Künneman Filmproduktion received Euros16,450.
The Franco-Germany Filmförderungsanstalt Commission also assigned Euros350,000 for Nächte und ein Tag by Lam Le, 56 per cent of which will go to Integral Film and 35 per cent to Sarl Paris.
